A Free Wall of Love Widget — Built From Reviews You Already Have
If you sell a Shopify app, you've earned reviews on the App Store. The problem is those reviews live there, not on the landing page where people actually decide to buy. AppLaud pulls your existing Shopify App Store reviews and renders them as a beautiful, embeddable widget — for free, with no credit card, in about two minutes.

What the Free Plan Actually Gets You
The free tier is genuinely free, not a 7-day trial. You get up to 10 testimonials displayed in a wall-of-love or carousel layout, embedded on any page of your site with a single script tag. The only difference from paid is a small "powered by AppLaud" badge on the widget and a cap of 10 reviews.
You choose which reviews to show. AppLaud imports your 4- and 5-star Shopify App Store reviews by default, and you can pin the ones that speak most clearly to your ideal customer or hide any that feel off-brand. Every review links back to its source on the App Store, so visitors can verify authenticity in one click.
One Script Tag, Any Website
The widget is delivered as a single script tag and renders inside a shadow DOM, which means it won't clash with your existing CSS no matter what platform you're on. Drop it into Webflow, Framer, a Next.js marketing site, plain HTML, a WordPress page, or anywhere else — it works the same way everywhere.
The script loads asynchronously, so your page layout renders first and the widget fills in without causing a content shift. Assets are served from a CDN, so load time stays fast regardless of where your visitors are located. There's no npm package to install, no build step, and no framework dependency.
Why This Matters More Than It Sounds
Conversion research consistently shows that social proof is most effective at the moment of decision — on the page where someone is weighing whether to install or buy. Marketplace listings are great for discovery, but by the time a developer or founder lands on your dedicated marketing site, they're further along and more persuadable.
The reviews you've worked hard to earn are already there. AppLaud's only job is to move them from a platform you don't control to a page you do. That shift — from proof buried on a marketplace to proof sitting right above your call to action — is the entire value proposition, and the free tier lets you test whether it moves your numbers before you spend anything.
When It Makes Sense to Upgrade
The free plan is a real product, not a demo. If you have fewer than 10 reviews to highlight and you're comfortable with the AppLaud badge, you may never need to upgrade.
The Starter plan at $19 per month removes the badge and lifts the 10-review cap, so you can display your full review set or rotate a larger pool. It covers one app. The Pro plan at $39 per month adds support for up to 10 apps and includes analytics so you can see widget engagement alongside your other site metrics. If you're an agency managing multiple clients or a developer with a portfolio of Shopify apps, Pro is built for that use case.
Chrome Web Store and WordPress.org plugin review imports are on the roadmap — not available yet, but planned for future releases.
How to Get Started
Visit get-applaud.com and sign up with your email — no credit card required. Connect your Shopify App Store listing, choose the reviews you want to feature, copy the script tag, and paste it into your site. The whole process takes a few minutes.
If you want to see the widget before committing even to the signup, the AppLaud homepage has live examples of the widget rendering in different layouts so you can judge whether the look fits your site.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the free plan really free, or does it expire?
- It is genuinely free with no time limit. You can use AppLaud's free tier indefinitely with up to 10 testimonials and the AppLaud badge displayed on the widget. No credit card is required to sign up.
- Which review sources does AppLaud support right now?
- AppLaud currently imports reviews from the Shopify App Store only. Chrome Web Store and WordPress.org plugin imports are on the roadmap but are not available yet.
- Will the widget break my site's design or slow down my page?
- No. The widget renders inside a shadow DOM so it is isolated from your site's CSS, and it loads asynchronously so it does not block your page from rendering. It works on Webflow, Framer, Next.js, plain HTML, WordPress, and other platforms without any special setup.
- Can I control which reviews appear in the widget?
- Yes. AppLaud imports your 4- and 5-star reviews by default, and you can pin specific reviews to always appear or hide any review you don't want to feature. You can update these choices at any time from your AppLaud dashboard.
